Information Overload

Today was a HUGE day with lots of tests, over 27 blood test results alone. The Bone Marrow Biopsy was the first of the many tests and I will get those results on Monday. Angie and I logged over 10,000 steps between the two of us and never had to step outside the building. Which is a good thing being that it is only 15 degrees in Rochester, Minnesota!

This afternoon we met with a doctor with the CarTvi Program and went over the tests results received thus far and as you might have guessed, more tests were ordered. She also discussed the risks involved and the different signs and symptoms that they look for in the process. I won’t sugar coat it and say that this process is easy, because it isn’t. There are some significant risks involved, but Mayo Clinic takes every precaution necessary to reduce those risks and they have been able to have a success rate to bring a patient to remission in 98% of the cases. Which is an amazing success rate.

Please keep the prayers coming as next week is full of more tests. I would like to say a special thank you to my personal nurse, Angie Koppe, who has been here with me the past couple of days and has been a tremendous help. Please pray for her safe travel home and Laura Overall’s safe flight here on Sunday. Love each one of you very much, but I need to go get this last test completed for the day.
